Pachyophthalmus floridensis Townsend, 1892: 80.

Distribution. Native. Nearctic, Neotropical; Galápagos: Fernandina, Floreana, Isabela, Marchena, San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz.

Remarks. Larvae of this genus develop on provisions within nests of burrowing wasps such as sphecids and vespids (G. Shewell pers. comm.).
