The methodology of the research includes: M. Bakhtin’s conception of cultural dialogue; the theoretical method of modeling (to construct the analogies between the tendencies of national-cultural revival in Ukraine of the 20th and 21st centuries); historical method (to analyze the processes of UAFIAP evolution); comparative-historical method (to define common and specific historical conditions of the Ukrainian cultural development in the beginning of the 20th and 21st centuries); historical-cultural method (to consider the cultural context of UAFIAP development of the 20th – 21st centuries). The scientific novelty of the article consists in the consideration of UAFIAP in the context of the cutlural dialogue problem; in the examination of historical-cultural aspect of UAFIAP formation and evolution. Conclusion. On the ground of analysis of the historical-cultural situation in Ukraine in 20th – 21st centuries it is demonstrated that the dialogueness of UAFIAP consists in the unity and interaction of national and international components; in the representation of UAFIAP as a unique national art and, at the same time, as an essential part of European cultural world. It is defined that the crucial reason of UAFIAP development is the process of national-cultural revival, inspired by the patriotic awareness of the cultural uniqueness as a component of European cultural world. It is concluded that because of its dialogical nature, UAFIAP nowadays is one of the most fruitful forms of the national art that asserts national uniqueness of the Ukrainian music and favours the activation of Ukrainian-European humanitarian relations.
