The Roman Agora of Apollonia in Illyria: A space for the Imperial Cult, in "ASAA" XCVII, 2019, pp. 223-232.
Description
This paper focuses on the monumentalization of Apollonia in Illyria between the 1stcentury BC and the 3rd century AD, with particular attention to the area at the foot of the hill 104. All the gathered literary, epigraphical and archaeological evidence stress how this space was continually exploited by the members of the local elite to celebrate themselves and the Roman emperors.
