Assessment of factors influencing the development of tourism and recreational potential of the regions of Azerbaijan

Description

The relevance on the study is due to the tourist and recreational potential of the territory are the base for creation of a tourist product and the implementation of tourist routes. Significant regions of Azerbaijan has poor transport accessibility and the mediocre condition of tourist facilities, so can be assessed as unfavorable for the tourism development. In this regard, one of the necessary aspects of the study is the assessment of the factors influencing the development of the tourist and recreational potential of the regions of Azerbaijan. It is necessary to single out regions that need to increase investments and labor resources in order to develop tourism, as well as regions where the development of tourism infrastructure is inappropriate. In this regard, a detailed analysis of information on each factor influencing the development of the tourist and recreational potential of the regions of Azerbaijan is necessary. The article evaluates the scientific works of such authors as N. S. Mironenko, I. T. Tverdokhlebov, E. A. Dzhandzhugazova, L. B. Bashalkhanova, I. A. Bashalkhanov, P. V. Bolshanik, D. V. Nikolaenko, N. I. Panov, A. V. Darinsky, which consider various approaches to understanding the tourism potential and tourism and recreational resource. Analysis of the ecological, landscape, cultural and infrastructural potential of the regions of Azerbaijan made it possible to assess the regions and allocate those that have the most favorable, medium favorable and least favorable economic and geographical conditions. This assessment and allocations of the regions can be used in programs for their socio-economic development.
