Parancistrocerus sulcatus Giordani Soika, 1994: 158; Gusenleitner, 2010: 696; 2011: 1358.

Material examined. 1♁, China, Chongqing City, Wuxi County, Hongchiba Town, Yusha Village, 31°533′N, 108°844′E, 18.VIII.2019, Li Luo (CNU).

Diagnosis. Body length 5.8 mm in male, setae sparse and short, body black, with yellow and ferruginous markings (Fig. 41); basal half of clypeus (Fig. 42), and wide apical bands of both T1–T2 and S2 (Figs 46–48) yellow; pronotum ferruginous anteriorly (Fig. 45); occipital carina complete, almost whole sloping area of anterior face of pronotum polished (Fig. 45); propodeum sloping downward just behind metanotum, dorsal carina weak (Fig. 44); T1 much wider than long and with large dense punctures; both T2 and S2 (Figs 46–48) swollen obviously, almost semicircular in shape and with a row of large and regular punctures close to margin, forming poorly raised submargin, margin narrow and not prolonged medially (Fig. 46), punctures on swelling little larger than those of mesoscutum, interspaces between punctures not convex and equal to or less than punctures (Fig. 46); punctures of lower part of mesopleuron about same as those of upper part; S2 basally with median longitudinal furrow, surroundings depressed; both T3 and S3 without prolongations (Figs 46, 48).

Female (in Gusenleitner 2010). Body length 7.5 mm. Sculpture, setae, and coloration similar to male except as follows: clypeus mostly black, except arched band of clypeus basally (Figs 1–2 in Gusenleitner 2010).

Distribution. China (Chongqing); Thailand; Laos.
