Description

This paper is about seagrasses, which are marine plants that form important ecosystems in coastal seas around the world. The paper discusses how little research has been done on seagrass proteins and peptides compared to other marine flora like seaweeds. It also highlights potential benefits of studying these proteins and peptides, such as understanding molecular adaptations for survival underwater or using protein biomarkers for monitoring habitat quality and health of seagrass meadows.
