Remarks. This species was discovered by Farahpour-Haghani et al. (2016) as a potential biocontrol agent of water fern, Azolla filiculoides Lam. (Azollaceae) in rice fields of Rasht, Gilan province, Iran. They revealed that adults of D. ramburialis begin their activity in July, but their most activity in rice fields starts from September to late October (Farahpour-Haghani et al. 2016).
