Description

Genus Lepidochitona Gray, 1821

Lepidochitona: Gray 1821: 234.

Type species: Chiton marginatus Pennant, 1777

(= Chiton cinereus Linnaeus, 1767), by monotypy.

Distribution:Atlantic coast of Europe, Mediterranean Sea, West Africa, Caribbean area, western coast of North, Central and South America. Paleocene – Recent.
