Description

Pseudopoda yilanensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu, spec. nov. Figs 270–271, Map 6

Type material. CHINA, Taiwan Province: Holotype female from Taibei City, Yilan County, Loulan Forest Park, 24.65°N, 121.78°E, 852 m, 5 July 2013, J. Liu leg. (CBEE, LJ01632).

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, the Yilan County; adjective.

Diagnosis. The female of P. yilanensis Zhang, Jäger & Liu, spec. nov. is similar to P. wamwo by the general shape of anterior margins of LL, FW covering part of IDS, schematic course of IDS with glandular appendages, but can be distinguished by LL touching each other along the middle line (LL separated in the middle line in P. wamwo).

FEMALE(LJ01632): Measurements: Medium sized. Body length 11.0, DS length 4.7, width 4.3, OS length 6.3, width 4.1. Eyes: AME 0.15, ALE 0.22, PME 0.19, PLE 0.24, AME–AME 0.15, AME–ALE 0.09, PME–PME 0.20, PME–PLE 0.35, AME–PME 0.29, ALE–PLE 0.26, CH AME 0.40, CH ALE 0.32. Spination: Pp 131, 101, 2121, 1014; Fe I–II 323, III 322, IV 322; Pa I–III 101, IV 100; Ti I–II 2228, III–IV 2126; Mt I–II 2024, III 3025, IV 3036. Measurements of palps and legs: Pp 5.9 (1.6, 0.9, 1.2, –, 2.2); I 13.8 (4.0, 1.7, 3.8, 3.0, 1.3); II 18.0 (4.7, 2.1, 5.4, 4.3, 1.5); III 12.4 (3.6, 1.5, 3.3, 2.9, 1.1); IV 14.5 (4.4, 1.1, 3.6, 4.0, 1.4). Leg formula: II-IV-I-III. Cheliceral furrow with ca. 20 denticles.

Epigyne (Figs 270A–C): As in diagnosis. EF wider than long; AB absent. LL touching each other along the middle line. FW short, situated medially, laterad. IDS clearly visible in ventral and dorsal view, with distinct transversal structures and postero-mediad glandular appendages anteriorly.

Colouration (Figs 271A–B): DS yellow with dark spots and lines. Fovea and striae distinctly marked. OS dorsally yellowish-brown, with lots of reddish-brown marks, becoming denser in posterior half. OS ventrally yellow, with several reddish-brown marks, irregular arranged.

MALE: Unknown.

Distribution. China (Taiwan Province).
