COPIII ŞI AGRESIUNEA PE INTERNET. COMBATEREA PRIN MIJLOACE DE DREPT PENAL
Description
Cyberbullying is a major issue that society in general and young people specifically face. As technological means of communication, especially through the internet, rapidly spread, the risk of abusing one’s online presence to bully victims is real and concrete. The present article focuses on the Romanian legislative framework, examining whether current legislation is sufficient to combat cyberbullying. In the first part of the article some general questions concerning cyberbullying will be addressed. In the second part, some current crimes will be examined, in order to determine whether they warrant amendments. In the final part a current legislative project on criminalizing revenge pornography will be analyzed.
