Wien ÖNB Cod. 2160 f. 164-184 Ground Truth from HTR Winter School 2022
Description
This is ground truth for Vienna, Österreichische Nationalbibliothek, 2160, which is dated to the 3rd quarter of the 9thcentury (North Italy), probably in the vicinity of Rome (Kaiser, Liebs).
Data collection and ground truth creation:
This data was collected during the HTR Winter School 2022. At the time we collected the data, we found images of this manuscript on ÖNB: https://digital.onb.ac.at/RepViewer/viewer.faces?doc=DTL_6648517&order=1&view=SINGLE.
We then uploaded the images into the Transkribus platform, applied the line recognition tool and manually copied the transcribed text lines into the recognised line boxes. We focussed on fols 164–184, which contains one version of the Mosaicarum et Romanarum Legum Collatio. In order to provide a more accurate account of the manuscript, we did not correct scribal errors.
The second version adds the missing table of content from the first pages of the Lex Dei. Also some pages have been revised and transcription mistakes corrected. In addition, we have now published the underlying transcription rules in a separate pdf.
