COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF METHODS FOR CALCULATING THE ATTENUATION COEFFICIENT OF TROPOSPHERIC RADIO COMMUNICATION

Description

A new ground for radiophysical research in the troposphere and stratosphere has been created on the territory of Kazakhstan. At the expense of grant funding from the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science, a lot of work was done to study the passage of radio waves through the troposphere and a model of a meter-range tropospheric station was created. In the course of the work, a review and analysis of methods for calculating the attenuation coefficient (attenuation) in the troposphere was made. This article discusses calculations based on semi-empirical and empirical methods. This article will help in the design of a meter-range tropospheric station.
