The article analyzes modern prerequisites affecting the formation of the concept of training competitive specialists for the tourism industry. The main approaches to the formation of an educational product are characterized, taking into account the expectations of higher education students and employers in the tourism industry. It has been established that in order to match the real knowledge, abilities and skills of a graduate of a higher education institution with a bachelor's degree in Tourism, which he acquires during his studies and the expectations of the labor market, it is necessary to balance the formation and development of "hard skill competencies", "soft skill competencies", "digital skill competencies" as an educational product that the acquirer receives for the purpose of carrying out professional activities in the tourism industry and personal development, which in turn reflects the balance of intellectual and practical content of the educational process.
