Technical report on Work Packages completed at M48 and summary of Transnational Access at M48

The Amendment to the Grant Agreement approved in December 2020 to mitigate the impact of the Covid crisis has remodulated the ARIES Workplan, extending some Work Packages by up to 12 months while others have maintained their original termination date. The Work Packages with no or limited extension are Work Packages 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 15 completed in April 2021, and Work Package 14 completed in August 2021.  

This deliverable report is intended to present and disseminate the final results of the Work Packages terminated between April and August 2021, in anticipation of the Final Report that is expected only in June 2022. For each Work Package, are presented the work carried out during the 4^th year of the project (M37-M48), the context and objectives for the entire project, and the main scientific and technical results. A final section underlines their potential impact on accelerator science and technology. A compilation of publications and exploitable foreground completes this part of the report.

The final part of the report summarises the status of Transnational Access (TA) activities at M48 (April 2021). All ARIES TA’s have been extended by one year to compensate for the Covid-related delays and to redistribute access between more and less successful facilities.
