Nanhermannia elegantissima Hammer, 1958
Distribution: Neotropical and sub-Antarctic: I. Malvinas.
Records in Ecuador: Zamora Chinchipe (San Francisco Biological Reserve and Podocarpus National Park-Bombuscaro) and Loja (andean mountain region of the Loja valley).
Habitat: Leaf litter and forest soil. Abandoned pasture soil. Soil and litter of pine (Pinus patula) and alder (Alnus acuminata). Litterbags of Puteria sp., Cavendishia zamorensis, Mollinedia sp., Graffenrieda emarginata and Hediosmum sp.
