Protophthiracarus paraminisetosus Niedbała et Illig, 2007

Distribution: Ecuador.

Records in Ecuador: Zamora Chinchipe (San Francisco Biological Reserve) and Loja (Podocarpus National ParkCajanuma).

Habitat: Bark, organic litter and the upper soil layer, especially from Graffenrieda emarginata litter. Litter fermentation layer.
