翻译中的文化传递——婚姻匹配观念 CULTURAL TRANSMISSION IN TRANSLATION -- MARRIAGE MATCHING CONCEPT

翻译不仅是跨语言的活动,也是跨文化的活动。语言和文化是紧密相连的。没有语言,文化就不可能存在;语言也只有反映文化才有意义。翻译不仅是语言的翻译,也是文化的翻译。在翻译过程中,译者除了要通晓两国的语言之外,还必须具有深厚的文化功底,应注重文化背景知识的输入。只有这样,才能深刻理解两种文化的异同,才能做到不仅语言意义上等值,而且文化意义上亦等值,使翻译流畅地进行。笔者在文中从翻译与文化的关系入手,就文化背景对于翻译的影响做了简要论述。

Translation is not only a cross - language activity, but also a cross - cultural activity. Language and culture are closely linked. Without language, culture cannot exist; Language is meaningful only when it reflects culture.Translation is not only the translation of language, but also the translation of culture. In the process of translation, the translator should not only be familiar with the languages of the two countries, but also have a deep cultural background, and should pay attention to the input of cultural background knowledge.Only in this way can we have a deep understanding of the similarities and differences between the two cultures and achieve equivalence not only in the linguistic sense, but also in the cultural sense, so that translation can proceed smoothly.The author starts with the relationship between translation and culture, and briefly discusses the influence of cultural background on translation.This paper analyzes the traditional marriage customs and related proverbs in Uzbek, Russian and Chinese cultures. The study found that there are similarities in the patterns of marriage relations among Chinese, Russian and Uzbek societies, and they have different views on marriage.Personal education, religious belief and age may affect people's values of marriage.
