Pullus tainanensis Ohta, 1929: 7 (type locality: Tainan, Taiwan, China).— Miwa 1931: 89.

Clitostethus nagasakiensis: Kamiya 1961: 280.

Pseudoscymnus nagasakiensis: Kamiya 1966: 79.— Sasaji 1971: 111; Yang & Wu 1972: 120; Yu 1995 a: 129; Pang et al. 2004: 88; Kovář 2007: 582. Synonymized by Yu, 2011: 125.

Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. anmashanus (Yang, 1971), but can be distinguished from the later by parameres about 3/4 as long as penis guide. In S. anmashanus, parameres are about 1/2 as long as penis guide (Fig. 6g).

Material examined. None.

Distribution. China (Taiwan); Japan.
