Essential Experiences in Science: Titanic teacher notes - Epistemic Insight pedagogy
Description
The teacher notes explain Epistemic Insight pedagogy through the Titanic investigation. There are two cards that support this investigations. One explores the science of how the Titanic sank through a model experiment and the second adopts a historical lens to ask the question Who was to blame?. The activity starts to develop multidisciplinary thinking of primary and early secondary students but asking if science and history have fully answered the question 'Why did the Titanic sink? before considering how other disciplines may respond to this question and expand the answer further.
