HeatChips - Arduino program and MATLAB script

Description

This upload is related to the publication HeatChips: A versatile, low-cost and microscopy-compatible heating system for microfluidic devices (Ref here once published). It contains 3 files:

HeatChips_Arduino_Program_withMatlabOutput.ino: Arduino program to upload on the Arduino board using the Arduino software. It is used to read the temperature from the infrared probe and compute an output power using a Proportional Integral Derivative controller. This program outputs temperature and power values that can be plotted using read_HeatChips.m.

read_HeatChips.m: MATLAB script to read the temperature in real-time. To use with the HeatChips_Arduino_Program_withMatlabOutput.ino Arduino program. Simply edit the serial port in the script and launch the script after the Arduino is connected to the computer.

HeatChips_Arduino_Program_standalone.ino: Standalone version of the Arduino program to upload on the Arduino board using the Arduino software. It is used to read the temperature from the infrared probe and compute an output power using a Proportional Integral Derivative controller. The outputs can be displayed on any serial display connected to the Arduino (such as the one embedded in the Arduino software).

These programs are also available at https://github.com/TAspert/HeatChips
