Heureka microservice platform infrastructure services

  • 1. Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin
  • 2. Viva con Agua de St. Pauli e.V.

Description

The Heureka architecture has been developed in the context of the SOTETO project (http://soteto.net/) to enable socio-technical evolutionary-teal organizations to align the socially driven autopoietic change processes and the technically shaped boundaries for change of CSCW tools. Focusing the case study Viva con Agua de St. Pauli e.V. a prototype for a first instance of the architecture has been created using the name Pool².

Although the CSCW functions are implemented by various microservices, some basic functionality is implemented to connect the microservices. The (1) dispenser service and the (2) heureka-widget-navigation allows to simply show a global menu in all microservices. Furthermore, the dispenser dispenses a globally used CSS file (using LESS). Additionally, the (3) vca-widget-base implements some basic elements required to have an unique UI. Supporting the deployment of the Heureka architecture, the (4) heureka CLI implements the required functions for a BASH environment.

Since the Heureka platform uses GRAV CMS (https://getgrav.org/) to deploy its documentation, also some GRAV specifc files are used by (4), the heureka CLI. For the purpose of publication, the directories .docker-conf/base/grav/plugins and .docker-conf/base/grav/themes and their contents have been removed, since they have contained only a huge number of GRAV default files.

The versions of the applications published here are equal to the applications versions before the beginning of the "Software developers are users" study, published in the dissertation of Johann Sell.
