Aspidosperma sandwithianum Markgr. in Notizbl. Bot. Gart. Berlin-Dahlem 12(115): 561. 1935.
Lectotype (designated here): — GUYANA. [Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo]: Simuni Creek, Rupununi River, 3 Aug 1931, Forest Department 2108 (K [barcode K000587699 image!]; isolectotype: K [barcode K000587700 image!]).
Notes — Markgraf (1935a) indicated the gathering Forest Department 2108 in the prologue of A. sandwithianum but did not cite in which herbarium the type would be deposited. Thus, we chose a specimen with inflorescences from this collection as the lectotype of A. sandwithianum (K barcode K000587699) (ICN article 9.3; Turland et al. 2018).
