Description

Epomophorus Bennett, 1836. Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond., 1835:149 [1836].

TYPE SPECIES: Pteropus gambianus Ogilby, 1835.

COMMENTS: Revised by Bergmans (1988), who transferred Micropteropus grandis to this genus. A key to this genus is presented in Boulay and Robbins (1989).
