Poecilogale albinucha

Description

Poecilogale albinucha (Gray, 1864). Proc. Zool. Soc. Lond., 1864:69, plate X.

TYPE LOCALITY: "it was without any habitat". Fixed by Coetzee (19776) as " Cape Colony".

DISTRIBUTION: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya.

SYNONYMS: africana Peters, 1865; bechuanae Roberts, 1931; doggetti Thomas and Schwann, 1904; flavistriata Bocage, 1865; lebombo Roberts, 1931; transvaalensis Roberts, 1926.
