Description

Oryzomys rhabdops Merriam, 1901. Proc. Washington Acad. Sci., 3:292.

TYPE LOCALITY: Guatemala, Quezaltenango Dept., Calel, 10,000 ft.

DISTRIBUTION: Highlands of S Chiapas, Mexico, and C Guatemala.

SYNONYMS: angusticeps.

COMMENTS: Allocated to subspecies of O. alfaroi by Goldman (1918); we reinstate it as a species (revision in progress).
