Description

Oryzomys oniscus Thomas, 1904. Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 7, 13:142.

TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Pernambuco, Sâo Lorenzo, 50 m.

DISTRIBUTION: E Brazil (Pernambuco, Bahia).

COMMENTS: Arranged as a subspecies of O. capito by Cabrera (1961). Although closely related to O. capito, this form is specifically distinct (Moojen, 1952).
