TYPE LOCALITY: Peru, Loreto, lower Rio Nanay, Santa Luisa.

DISTRIBUTION: Napo (Ecuador) to Loreto (Peru).

STATUS: CITES - Appendix II.

COMMENTS: Based upon specimens included by Hershkovitz (1979) in P. monachus.
