TYPE SPECIES: Simia sciurea Linnaeus, 1758.

SYNONYMS: Chrysothrix, Pithesciurus.

COMMENTS: Placed in a separate subfamily Saimirinae by Hershkovitz (1970a) and Napier (1976).
