TYPE LOCALITY: Chilean Andes, Colchagua Prov.

DISTRIBUTION: Andes of S Chile and S Argentina.

STATUS: CITES - Appendix I; U.S. ESA and IUCN - Endangered.

SYNONYMS: andicus, cerasina, chilensis, dubius, equinus, huemel, leucotis.
