East Asian countries media overview (July – September 2022)

This review is based on the materials published in July – September 2022 in various media of East Asian countries, which cover the most relevant topics for the region during this period. The review describes the assassination of the former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe, the reaction of the Japanese public and the impact of his death on the results of parliamentary elections. It also covers the course and results of the visit of the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan and the growing tension between the United States and China.
