Description
12.1. Tanaecium selloi (Sprengel 1825: 831) L.G. Lohmann (2008: 274).
Diagnosis:— Tanaecium selloi can be confused with some Fridericia species, however this species can be differentiated by the lack of interpetiolar glands and the campanulate calyx, bilabiate at the apex.
Reproductive Period:— Flowers were collected in February, March, and December, no fruiting data.
Distribution and Habitat:— It occurs in Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina (Lohmann 2010, Lohmann & Taylor 2014, Frazão and Lohmann 2019). Within the study area, it was registered in Foz do Iguaçu, Capanema, and in the PARNA Iguazú, on trails edges.
