TECHNOLOGY OF CREATION OF HAYMADES AND PASTURES OF THE DRY STEPPE ZONE OF WESTERN KAZAKHSTAN
Creators
Description
The article discusses a science-based developed technology for restoring pastures, taking into account the biological characteristics of a mixture of perennial grasses in the agro-climatic conditions of Western Kazakhstan to obtain nutritionally complete forages. During the formation of sown pasture lands, it was found that grass mixtures in most cases are more productive and more durable than single-species grass crops. A mixture of legumes and grasses belonging to different biological groups makes better use of moisture and nutrients from the soil, develops a large leaf surface and is characterized by a more even distribution of leaves in height, which contributes to a better use of solar energy.
It has been established that the largest number of fodder units of hay is established on crops of a mixture of perennial grasses 2 and 3 years old. For hay use, a mixture of perennial grasses 2-4 years old is recommended; for pasture use, it is suggested to use grasses starting from the 5th year of life.
