Type locality: Balcarce, Argentina; Type depository: United States National Museum (USNM).

Distribution: INDIA; Karnataka (Sankaran & Ramaseshiah, 1981) (introduced). ELSEWHERE; Argentina, Australia, Cyprus, United States, Uruguay (Muesebeck, 1970; Canedo et al., 2016).
