TYPE LOCALITY: South Africa, Cape Prov., Cape of Good Hope.

DISTRIBUTION: South Atlantic coastal waters from Cape Town (South Africa) to Cape Cross (Namibia).

PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Order Cetacea.

ISIS NUMBER: 5301411002008003001 as C. heavisidei (sic).
