Praomys erythroleucus
Description
Praomys erythroleucus (Temminck, 1853). Esquisses Zool. sur la Cote de Guine, p. 160.
TYPE LOCALITY: Guinea.
DISTRIBUTION: Morocco and Senegal to Sudan and Zaire.
COMMENT: Subgenus Mastomys; see Misonne, 1974, Part 6:25. Chromosome number 2N =38; formerly included huberti; see Petter, 1977, Mammalia, 41:441 -444.
