TYPE LOCALITY: Indonesia, Irian Jaya, Djajawidjaja Div., 15 km N. Mt. Wilhelmina, Lake Habbema, 3225 m.

DISTRIBUTION: C. New Guinea.

COMMENT: Includes Baiyankamys shawmayeri Hinton, 1943; see Mahoney, 1968, Mammalia, 32:64-71.

ISIS NUMBER: 5301410011076002001 as H. habrema (sic).
