Description
Apodemus agrarius (Pallas, 1771). Reise Prov. Russ. Reichs., 1:454.
TYPE LOCALITY: U.S. S. R., Ulianovsk. Obi., middle Volga River, Ulianovsk (formerly Simbirsk).
DISTRIBUTION: C. Europe to Lake Baikal, south to Thrace, Caucasus, and Tien Shan Mtns.; Amur River through Korea to Yunnan, Fukien, and Taiwan (China); Quelpart Isl. (Korea).
COMMENT: Includes chevrieri; see Corbet, 1978:137. Penis morphology reviewed by Williams et al., 1980, Mammalia, 44:245-258.
ISIS NUMBER: 5301410011004001001 as A. agarius (sic).
