TYPE LOCALITY: Malaysia, Sabah, Labuan Isl.

DISTRIBUTION: N. Borneo; Labuan Isl.; Banguey Isl.; Karimata Isis.; South Natuna Isis; Kampuchea; Vietnam; Java; Bali; Timor; Sulawesi.

COMMENT: Includes javanicus, celebensis, and chaseni; see Goodwin, 1979, Bull. Amer. Mus. Nat. Hist., 163: 104; Hill and Thonglongya, 1972, Bull Br. Mus. (Nat. Hist.), Zool., 22: 187. Corbet and Hill, 1980:48, 49, listed javanicus and celebensis as distinct species without comment.
