TYPE LOCALITY: Mascarene Isis., Reunion Isl. (France).

DISTRIBUTION: Reunion, Mauritius (Mascarene Isis.).

COMMENT: Probably extinct; see Cheke and Dahl, 1981, Mammalia, 45:205-238.
