TYPE LOCALITY: Sudan, Kordofan.

DISTRIBUTION: Subsaharan Africa.

COMMENT: Included in Galerella by Allen, 1924, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 47: 176- 178; Rosevear, 1974:308; and Ansell, 1978:41; but also see Kingdon, 1977:185. Includes dentifer, granti, and ochraceus; see Coetzee, 1977, Part 8: 27. Reviewed by Taylor, 1975, Mamm. Species, 65:1-5.
