TYPE LOCALITY: Ecuador, Napo-Pastaza Prov., Sarayacu, near the Rio Bobonazo.

DISTRIBUTION: Ecuador east of the Andes, and Peru to Cuzco Prov.; Bolivia; possibly into Venezuela.

COMMENT: See comment under Bassaricyon.
