Crocidura dsinezumi

Description

Crocidura dsinezumi (Temminck, 1844). In Siebold, Fauna Japónica, Part 2:26.

TYPE LOCALITY: Japan, Kyushu.

DISTRIBUTION: Japan; Ryukyu Isis.; Quelpart Isl. (Korea).

COMMENT: The spelling of the name was clarified by Corbet, 1978:28, and in Bull. Zool. Nomenci., 35: 125, but misprinted in the same paper. Includes chisai and quelpartis; see Corbet, 1978:28; but also see Jameson and Jones, 1977, Proc. Biol. Soc. Wash., 90:459-482, who placed these taxa in russula.
