Moschus sifanicus

Description

Moschus sifanicus (Buchner, 1891). Melanges Biol. Soc. St. Petersb., 13: 162.

TYPE LOCALITY: China, S. Kansu, Hsifan.

DISTRIBUTION: Alpine zone of Tibetan plateau region from E. Afghanistan and N. Pakistan to W. China and N. Burma; also Honan (China) (SW).

COMMENT: According to PG, correct name probably chrysogaster Hodgson, 1839; see comment under chrysogaster.

PROTECTED STATUS: CITES - Appendix II as Moschus spp.
