Description

Marmosa velutina (Wagner, 1842). Arch. Naturgesch., 8(l): 360.

TYPE LOCALITY: Brazil, Sao Paulo, Ipanema.

DISTRIBUTION: E. Brazil.

COMMENT: M. velutina reported from Argentina is assignable to formosa; see Pine, 1975, Mammalia, 39:321-322.
