The present article describes the importance of developing artistic abilities in young schoolchildren through extracurricular activities. The child's creation is the initial link in the development of creative activity. Extracurricular activities have an immense power in the life of the child that gives them the opportunity of freedom of spirit, allows them to search and discover new ideas and develop their artistic abilities. Some practical activities that can be applied in working with pupils are also proposed.
