Description

Microperus borneensis (Browne, 1986) comb. nov.

Xyleborus borneensis Browne, 1986a: 92, nec Eggers 1927.

Coptodryas borneensis (Browne): Beaver 1995: 202.

Remarks. Browne (1986a) stated that the holotype and one paratype were deposited in NHMUK, however these specimens were not located. One female paratype (NUFM) was examined. The species has the characteristics of Microperus given above for M. abbreviatus and it is here transferred to that genus.

Distribution. Indonesia (Sarawak). (Imported to Japan).
