Unemployment and poverty in Ukraine: current problems and solutions

The issue of improving the welfare of the population is becoming increasingly important. The article analyzes the dynamics of the unemployment rate in Ukraine for the period 2010-2020, and also identifies the structure of the unemployed population due to unemployment in 2020. The causes and features of unemployment in Ukraine are identified, as well as its negative and positive consequences are emphasized. The peculiarities of the natural rate of unemployment and the complexity of its calculation are detailed. The relationship between unemployment and poverty is described. The dynamics of the subsistence level in Ukraine for 2010-2020 is analyzed and compared with the international standard. Possibilities of reduction of the level of the specified phenomena and their influence are defined.
