Love your Data! [Poster]

  • 1. Leibniz Institute on Aging - Fritz Lipmann Institute

Description

How to make sure your data is safe and sound -- a starter

This poster guides the eye from the starting point of a common situation (in which researchers experience panic and confusion stemming from chaotic research data management [RDM]) via things that should be kept in mind (the research data life cycle and the FAIR principles) and three easy, first steps (labelling, documenting, and backups) to the benefits of good RDM and hints towards the next steps (incl. writing a data management plan).

Here, a starter is provided that aims to give researchers with no prior experience in research data management an overview of the topic without going into too much detail. The focus lies on making the most important RDM actions approachable and to instigate motivation to further implement and maintain good RDM habits.
