FatigueAssessmentBasedOnScaledNormalstresses

  • 1. Institut für Maschinelle Anlagentechnik und Betriebsfestigkeit (IMAB), TU Clausthal

Description

Program for fatigue life estimation of non-proportionally stressed components. The programmed fatigue assessment is based on the local strain approach and serves as an extension of the FKM-guideline nonlinear. This enables the consideration of non-linear material behaviour, as well as the consideration of non-proportional hardening and other material effect that occur under non-proportional stresses. For uniaxial and proportional cases, the results of the algorithm corresponds to that of the FKM-guideline nonlinear.
The program code was created with the greatest possible care, but it is nevertheless not possible to guarantee that the fatigue lives and component strengths estimated according to the methods presented correspond to the real fatigue lives or strengths of the components. An estimation based on the methods does not replace the experimental fatigue life verification. An exact fatigue life or fatigue assessment must be carried out by the user on his own responsibility and validated experimentally. Liability for damages of any kind resulting from the use of the described methods is excluded.

Notes

This programm code was supported by the Research Association for Mechanical Engineering (FKM no. 615) and funded by the German Federation of Industrial Research Associations (AiF/IGF no. 20613 N) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag.
