AN INTEGRATED APPROACH TO THE DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT OF A DYSFUNCTION OF THE TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS
Description
In the structure of dental diseases, dentoalveolar anomalies (DVA) take the third place in frequency and prevalence after dental caries and periodontal diseases [10,15], in addition, in the last 30–40 years, a tendency to increase the frequency of DVA in children has been observed, this is due to the fact that in their formation, stable pathological mechanisms operate [2,11,19,20], in the place of those very important factors for the development of DVA and deformities, including pathology of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) of a person, there has been a reduction in DVA that has been going on for many millennia and ongoing now [6].
